Longtime Reader, Hopeful Writer

I have enjoyed reading as long as I can remember. I devoured books as a kid, especially series. Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Sweet Valley High, Babysitters Club, The Black Stallion, Anne of Green Gables - all among my favorites. As I got older, I knew I wanted to become an English teacher and share my love of reading with others.

My first job was at Waldenbooks in the local mall. I loved that job! I enjoyed the employee discount and having my finger on the pulse of the book world. I still think about how happy I was in that position.

I have dabbled in NANOWRIMO (National Novel Writing Month) three different times. I don't think they are necessarily publication worthy, but I enjoyed writing them. I want to venture more into the writing world. I mean to write another book, and I hope to share pieces of it here. It's a scary thing to start something new, but I hope that what I write others can enjoy.
